Using a raw plant-based whole food diet for psoriasis, eczema, dermatitis, or acne can bring wonderful results, with many reporting that their skin condition symptoms disappeared permanently after shifting to a more natural, nutritious, and electrically charged diet.
It is important to note that although transitioning to a raw plant-based whole food diet is beneficial for all skin conditions and does have the potential to heal the skin condition completely, over time and distance and in a majority of cases, halts progression, based on my experience it is simply not enough to achieve full skin rejuvenation with complete elimination of all symptoms. With that being said, there is actually quite a bit of scientific backing that supports the use of a raw plant-based whole food diet as a way of healing skin conditions and other diseases, and it extends far beyond the exclusion of potential allergens — that is, avoiding foods that trigger an allergic reaction that is mistaken for psoriasis.
The Workings of a Raw Plant-Based Whole Food Diet for Healing Disease
All plant-based foods, such as fruits, berries, melons, vegetables, herbs, nuts, and seeds, have been slow-cooked to nature’s perfection by the sun’s solar energy. These foods are teeming with solar-powered electromagnetic (photonic) energy and enzymes, the building blocks of protein and all cellular life on this planet. Nature has designed enzymes to withstand temperatures of up to 48 degrees Celsius /118 degrees Fahrenheit, perfectly protected for the hottest temperatures experienced by all climates that support the growth of plant-based food. When our foods are cooked by heat above this temperature, the enzymes and electromagnetic energy are destroyed.
Enzymes harvest photonic energy from the sun, break down nutrients (protein, carbohydrates, and fat) stored in seeds so the new plant can use them to grow (e.g., as a banana ripens, it converts more starches into sugars); and catalyze the multiple reactions necessary for the protection and survival of the plant? Plant enzymes are also helpful for human health as they convert certain phytochemicals into their active forms and aid in the digestive process.
Still not convinced that a raw plant-based whole food diet is more beneficial? Consider these facts:
Myrosinase is an enzyme present in cruciferous vegetables such as kale, broccoli, cabbage, and cauliflower. This enzyme converts phytochemicals into phase-two enzymes. Phase-two enzymes are critical for eliminating cancer-causing carcinogens, eliminating toxins, killing cancer cells, and reducing instances of unhealthy cell proliferation (a process that occurs in those who have psoriasis, as the body produces skin cells at an excessive rate.) Unfortunately, heat destroys myrosinase, converting these enzymes into isothiocyanates. But chopping vegetables prompts a conversion from phytochemicals into beneficial phase-two enzymes!
TIP: If you must cook cruciforous vegetables, it’s best to chop the vegetables approximately ten minutes prior to cooking, as the converted enzymes won’t be impacted; only the un-converted myrosinase will be destroyed, not the isothiocyanates that were already converted.
Alliinase is an enzyme that’s present in allium vegetables like shallots, onions, and garlic. Alliinase converts alliin into allicin. Allicin has a range of benefits, as it has antifungal, antimicrobial, antibacterial, antithrombotic, antiarthritic, anticancer, and lipid-lowering properties.
TIP: If you chop allium vegetables and allow them to sit for approximately ten minutes before cooking, you’ll enable the conversion process as mentioned above to occur. Then, when you expose the vegetables to heat, you’ll destroy the unconverted alliinase, but the alliin that was converted to allicin will remain intact!
Energy and Consciousness ~ Biophotonic Nutrition
We have forgotten the age-old wisdom that recognizes energy from physical metabolism must be supplemented by the more subtle, dynamic electromagnetic energy of foods. Energy is the number one factor in life’s existence.

I and many others believe this power reflects a level of consciousness or intelligence. This electromagnetic energy is rated in units called “angstroms.” The higher the quantity of angstroms a food gives off, the higher the energy of the food. When you eat fresh, organic, uncooked, and unprocessed foods, the high electromagnetic energy of that food is transferred to your body and its cells.
Put simply; healthy nutrition is about turning sunshine into energy for the purpose of fueling human movement. Human beings are biophotonic organisms that convert all of the solar-powered nutrients from plant foods into bacteria that produce enzymatic electrical resources, which we use to create energy within ourselves. So we are rejuvenating ourselves by acquiring this biophotonic transformation that occurs between sunlight and food and then converting this food back to sunlight (electrical energy) within our bodies. Therefore, the underlying fundamental key to healthy nutrition is in the direct and indirect biophotonic relationship we have with the sun and mother nature’s biology. This is what is meant by the term Biophotonic Nutrition.
One of the universal laws of physics is the law of balance or homeostasis. The low energy of some foods will lower your systemic energy, creating hypoactive or underactive tissue.
